“I first started working with Sandy about 15 years ago, so this review is way overdue. My business partner and I were trying to design a boutique salon. We couldn’t have been more opposite, she wanted a posh, high-end micro chromatic look. I preferred a natural look with pops of color, unique wooden and metal accents. In our previous venture we took over a salon that was already up and running, so we never had to figure out the layout/decor. We were completely stuck, not to mention on a tight budget and had time restraints. Additionally, there were many cosmetology guidelines we had to follow, along with modern accessibility regulations and historic township ordinances that completely contradicted each other….We were lost.

An acquaintance introduced us to Sandy. She sat down with us together and separate to go over our visions. Sandy asked many questions, learned about our industry, business needs, and spent a great deal of time researching the necessary permits and regulation. She then came up with three different designs/mood boards, all of which we LOVED so much it was almost impossible to choose. We ended up selecting one design for the main salon floor and utilized the second mood board color scheme for the bathroom.

Sandy oversaw the construction and communication with the contractor and vendors for us. She was able to find beautiful high-end items at a fraction of the cost, while ensuring they would hold up well. Sandy would often give us a couple options to choose from, but was never offended on the rare occasion that we were not fond of any of her suggestions.

When it was time to remodel the salon in 2022, it wasn’t even a question who to call. This project was a little less complicated then the first round, but timing was a huge concern. We were only able to close the business for 10 days, so there was a significant time restraint. Everything had to be ready to go and there couldn’t be any hold ups. We were initially told the floors alone could take two weeks. But somehow with Sandy’s help, we were able to get everything done perfectly and on schedule.

Sandy has also helped my husband and I on various personal projects too. In 2016 we designed and built our house from the ground up. She helped us decide our layout, exterior materials/design, kitchen layout, bathrooms, cabinetry, mudroom, and laundry room. She assisted us in picking all tiles, flooring, lighting, plumbing, hardware, appliances, and paint colors. Additionally we’ve recently planned out a nursery and basement family room design with her help. My husband insisted we always listen to her because her suggestions typically came in less expensive than anything I sourced.

Sandy, thank you again for everything you’ve helped me with, I would have been lost without you! I really appreciate you constantly dropping everything to go above and beyond, dealing with all the numerous issues or questions that needed immediate responses.
